Obituary for Kimiko K. Lawrence

Kimiko K. “Kimi” Lawrence, of Harleysville, formerly of Mullica Hill, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in Park Creek Place, North Wales. She was 90.

She was the beloved wife of the late James H. Lawrence for 55 years, until his death in 2019.

Born in Daza Hirayama Usui-mura Kaho-gun Fukuoka-Ken, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Hosaku Kamahara and Yoshie Ide.

Primarily a housewife, Kimi had also been employed as a chef for a Chinese restaurant.

Mrs. Lawrence had formerly been a member of the Seabrook Buddhist Temple, of Bridgeton, NJ.

Kimi had enjoyed sewing and crafts projects, gardening, cooking, and watching Japanese soap operas and drum performances
.
Remembered by her family as artistic, industrious, and very sweet, Kimi will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Lawrence is survived by Matsuichi Kamahara, Masahide Kamahara, and Kenji Ide, all of Japan; three nephews: James Genth, and his wife, Nancy, of Souderton, John Lawrence and his wife, Kathy, and Michael Lawrence; a niece, April Genth, and her husband, Kevin, and their children, Koen and Amber; and her sister-in-law, Nancy V. Genth, and her husband, Jim.

All services will be private.
