Obituary for Diane J. Zajatz

Diane Joan Zajatz, 65, formerly of Sellersville, passed away quietly with family members by her side in Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

She was the wife of Charles “Chuck” Zajatz for 48 years.

Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Howard and LaRue (Trauger) Weidemoyer. Growing up on High Street in Sellersville, Diane was a part of a large and loving family. She was a 1974 graduate of Pennridge High School.

A seamstress, Diane had been employed at several local sewing manufacturers. She had also worked with Margaret Wiseheart Anderson, creating and sewing costumes, including Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders’ outfits and custom work for Wheel of Fortune’s Vanna White, especially evening gowns. Her last position was with H. L. Halteman Custom Draperies, of Green Lane.

She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Bethlehem.

An avid gardener, Diane had loved planting and cultivating her flowers. Over the years, she had also adopted many shelter dogs. A quiet, kind-hearted woman, Diane loved time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her life.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and grandchildren: Craig Zajatz and his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, MacKenzie, of Quakertown; Charles Zajatz III and his wife, Allison, and their children, Henry and Garrett, of Telford; and Dwinell Grebe and her husband, Andrew, and their children, Drew, Nathan, and Carlee, of Telford.

Her siblings include brothers: David Weidemoyer, of Pottstown; Terry Weidemoyer, of Quakertown; and Jay Weidemoyer and his wife, Michelle, of Perkasie; sisters: Bonnie Ann Myers and her husband, Dean, of Pipersville; Joy Lynn Dlugosz and her husband, David, of New Holland; and Brenda Clark and her husband, Neil, of Perkasie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and two of her beloved rescue dogs, “Daisy” and “Austin.”

Her graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 9, in Sellersville Cemetery, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Diane’s name to Last Chance Ranch, 9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
