Obituary for Ellen C. Williams

Ellen C. Williams, a long-time resident of Warrington, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Township. She was 90.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert P. Williams for 69 years until his death in April of this year.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ellen V. (Silberling) Fawcett. Ellen was a graduate of Huntington High School, Huntington, New York.

Employed as a clerk, Ellen had worked in the healthcare industry.

Mrs. Williams was an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Warrington, where she sang in the choir and volunteered with the bell choir.

A Cub Scout den mother when her children were young, Mrs. Williams had also volunteered in the Scout office. In more recent years, she had volunteered at Neshaminy Manor. Also as a member of the “Sunshine Ladies,” she created various craft projects and then with the other ladies delivered their work to nursing homes throughout Bucks County.

The Williams had enjoyed extensive travels, including cruises and journeys to Alaska, Tahiti, Ireland, the Black Sea, the Irish Sea, and, quite literally worldwide, to all but one continent. Locally, they were members of the Buckaroos Square Dance Club, Warrington.

Remembered by her family as a selfless woman, who lived her life for others and who possessed a very big heart, Mrs. Williams had delighted particularly in the time spent with her grandchildren

Mrs. Williams is survived by her four sons: George Williams, Robert D. Williams, David Williams and his wife, Mary Beth, and Clark Williams and his wife, Helen; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Williams.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Williams, in 2019, and a sister, Ann Pearce.

Her Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 7, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 2131 Palomino Drive, Warrington, PA 18976, with a visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Interment will be private.
