Obituary for Amber N. Doherty

Amber N. Doherty, of Quakertown, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at her residence. She was 35.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of James L. and Linda M. (Kline) Doherty, of Perkasie.

Amber had earned a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Formerly a police officer with the Towamencin Township Police Department, Amber had most recently been focused on raising her children.

A fan of country music and stand-up comedy, Amber had a big heart and sweet temperament that delighted in caring for all children. She had greatly enjoyed her years as a police officer, a position that had allowed her to use her lively intelligence.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her four sons: Skylar, Levi, Addison, and River Culton; two daughters, Emberlee and Shadelyn Sandler; a brother, Nathaniel J. Doherty, of Sellersville; and her fiancé, Joshua Sandler.

Amber was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Barbara and George Kline, and paternal grandparents, Marjorie Doherty and Stanley Zwirble.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 4, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in Blooming Glen Mennonite Cemetery.
