Josephine A. Delikat, of Sellersville, formerly of Norristown, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021, in the Community at Rockhill, West Rockhill Township. She was 82.

Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Gibala) Delikat. Josephine was a 1956 graduate of Pennridge High School.

Josephine had been employed for over 35 years by PNC Bank, formerly Provident National Bank. She retired as an assistant vice-president of the Central Marketing Fulfillment Department, having started with the bank as an assistant cashier and teller. She was also the very first female branch manager in the bank’s history.

Prior to her move to Sellersville, Josephine was a long-time member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Norristown.

A true globetrotter, Josephine had traveled the world from Australia, Belize, China, and all European countries to Panama and all of the United States.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, particularly Gerald F. Keller, of Norristown, who had overseen her care.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Henry, Frank, John, Edward, and William Delikat; and four sisters: Genevieve Lenar, Sadie Keller, Helen Koten, and Antonette Koten.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 26, at 11:30 a.m. in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Josephine’s name may be made online to the Alzheimer’s Association at

Josephine was a bride's maid at my wedding. I also went to St. Agnes school. I was a banker in Perkasie and she
was a banker in Sellersville. With being married and raising a family and with Josephine living in Norristown, we
drifted apart. We mostly just kept in touch with Christmas cards. When I found out that she was in Hidden Meadows,
I went to see her there. I did not know that she entered Rockhill Community. I was so shocked when her death was
announced in church on Sunday. I definitely would have gone to her viewing but I found out too late. It was over.
My condolences go out to you. Sincerely, Hermine Godshall

Josephine was my first Boss at my very first job at Provident National Bank in 1982. I have such memories of her and loved hearing about her travels. We remained in touch over the years with Christmas cards and phone calls until she moved into assisted living. I live out of state and wish I could have visited her last year. RIP Miss Josephine.
