Obituary for James R. Strohl

James R. Strohl, of Souderton, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, in the Lutheran Community at Telford. He was 84.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia B. (Earnest) Strohl for 57 years until her death in 2014.

Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Donald and Anna (Slevinski) Strohl.

Jim had been employed for 30 years as a printer by the former Continuous Forms, of Colmar.

Mr. Strohl was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Hilltown.

A member and Past Master of Shiloh-MacCalla Lodge #558 Free and Accepted Masons, of Souderton, Jim was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1539, of Sellersville, and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon.

From 1976-1979, Jim was an active volunteer and supporter of the Pennridge Greenjackets football organization.

With his wife, Jim had traveled the world, visiting 57 countries and all seven continents. More locally, he had also enjoyed trips to the casinos. He also was an avid fan of the professional Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles and Phillies.

Always ready to volunteer for any cause, Jim was willing to drop whatever he was doing in order to help anyone. Most particularly, he loved to be surrounded by his family, and he was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Strohl is survived by his two children, Keith Strohl and his wife, Susan, and Todd Strohl and his wife, Melissa; six grandchildren: Julie, Candice, Jessica, Patrick, Krislyn, and Wyatt; and four great-grandchildren: Serena, Lydia, Molly, and Jack.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Strohl; a brother, William Strohl; and an infant sister.

A public visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery, Sellersville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Strohl’s name may be made to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 1634 Hilltown Pike, Hilltown, PA 18927-9701.
