He was the beloved husband of Patricia B. (Earnest) Strohl for 57 years until her death in 2014.

The one thing I will always remember about Dad is how fiercely he loved his family. He took care of us all. No matter what we needed, he gave it to us freely and without reservation. He just needed to make sure we were all ok. That was just Dad. He would have roped the moon for any one of us and I love him for that. His heart was huge and so full of love for his family. The pride he felt for his grandchildren and great grandchildren was beautiful to see and I am so happy that my children had a chance to be so close to such a selfless, amazing man. I will miss you Dad, every minute of every day, forever. I hope you rest peacefully and know that we will be alright. Until we meet again, I love you Dad!
