Obituary for Teresa A. Sisti

Teresa A. Sisti (née Teresa Elizabeth Locke), of Sellersville, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020, in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Township. She was 73.

Born in Croydon to Frank and Mildred (Flynn) Locke, Teresa attended George Taylor Elementary School and graduated from Delhaas High School in Bristol.

After graduation, Teresa was employed in retail and then as a product manager at PSG Controls, of Perkasie. Teresa later found employment for over thirty years as the cook and housekeeper at Saint Agnes Parish Rectory in Sellersville, where she was very happy caring for the priests who were assigned there.

At various times over the years, Teresa also volunteered at St. Agnes as a teacher in the Religious Education Program and at the annual Christmas Bazaar.

Her favorite meals to prepare were three-cheese baked ziti and Italian sausage. In addition to her duties as cook and housekeeper, Teresa found great joy in ordering and arranging the flowers in and around the church for special Holy Days and liturgical seasons. She did this always with the intention of inspiring others to an awareness of the glory of God.

Teresa enjoyed gardening and painting and had an extensive collection of angels. She also loved listening to all kinds of music. Teresa had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. She thought the Minions were hilarious.

A devout Catholic, Teresa could often be seen praying the rosary in her gazebo, offering her prayers for others’ intentions. She was very loyal and loving to her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Teresa is survived by her siblings: Francis (Florence) Locke, of Florida, Edythe (Walter) Hughes, of Red Lion, PA, and Loretta Casper, of Allentown; 10 nieces and nephews: Christopher, Joseph, Michael, and Stephen Locke; Andrew Hughes, Donna Rook, and Bernadette Reynolds; Vincent Julio, Matthew and Rachael Casper; and many great- nieces and great-nephews as well.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her brother Andrew, her nephew, John Locke, and her brother- in- law, Thomas Casper.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9 to 9:45 AM on Friday, August 14, at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Teresa’s life will follow at 10 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining St. Agnes Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Church at the address above or to Pennridge FISH, PO Box 9, Perkasie, PA 18944.
