Obituary for Ralph W. Cassel

Ralph W. Cassel, of Sellersville, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020, after an extended illness, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was 66.

He was the beloved husband of Cheryl L. (Wenhold) Cassel. They would have celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on February 27.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Helen J. (Jackson) Cassel, of Telford, and the late Ralph H. Cassel.
He was a graduate of Wissahickon High School, Class of 1971.

Most recently, Ralph had been employed as a truck driver for Mid-Atlantic Packaging Inc., Montgomeryville since 1999.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1539, Sellersville.

An occasional fisherman but an avid motorcyclist, Ralph had loved riding his Harley Davidson. Listening to music and going to concerts at the Sellersville Theater were favorite past-times as well. He also enjoyed time spent on family vacations and attending his grandson’s hockey games.

In addition to his wife and mother, Ralph is survived by his two sons, Ralph R. Cassel, of Lansdale, and Robert W. Cassel and his wife, Rachel, of Perkasie; two step-sons, Chad M. Bishop and his wife, Jennifer, of Quakertown, and Jeremy S. Bishop and his partner, Shelly McLaughlin, of Sellersville; five grandchildren, Braden, Carmondy, Rosamonde, Broderick, and Carrington; a brother, John Cassel, and his wife, Pat, of Glenmoore, PA ; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and two brothers-in-law, Barry L. Wenhold, of Sellersville, and Brian K. Wenhold and his partner, Janet Mattern, of Perkasie.

Services will be private. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
