Obituary for Brian L. Lawrence

Brian L. Lawrence, CPA, of Sellersville, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019, in Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 75.

He was the beloved husband of Janet Faye (Weikel) Lawrence for 48 years.

Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Albert G. and Kathryn (Heins) Lawrence. Brian was a graduate of Pennridge High School and La Salle University.

A U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War era, Mr. Lawrence had served in Germany.

Brian had been employed as a certified public accountant for 57 years.

Mr. Lawrence was the recipient of a LVAD (left ventricular assist device) at Jefferson Hospital. This procedure had given him six years of improved health, earning him the nickname of “Miracle Man.”

A fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles, Brian had also enjoyed following racing, including NASCAR.

Affectionately called “Pops” by family and friends, Brian was a devoted father and family man. His constant broad smile and love of a good joke endeared him to all.

In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his three sons, Dale Lawrence and his wife, Debra, of Florida; Douglas Lawrence and his wife, Stephanie, of Tennessee; and David Lawrence, of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Tiffany Creighton and her husband, Douglas; Joshua Lawrence; Heather Cleveland and her husband, Daniel; Brady Lawrence; and Miranda Lawrence; and two great-grandchildren, Evan Thorn and Dimitri Creighton.

His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
