Obituary for Ethel B. Leatherman

Ethel B.   Leatherman
Ethel B. Leatherman, of the Lutheran Community at Telford, formerly of Souderton and Sellersville, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018. She was 89.

She was the beloved wife of the late Walter H. Leatherman for 56 years until his death in 2004.

Born in Hilltown Township, she was the daughter of the late Raymond W. Smith, Sr. and Elizabeth (Scholl) Smith Mills.

Mrs. Leatherman had been employed as a bookkeeper for more than 25 years at the former Bucks County Bank.

She was a life-long active member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher.

Mrs. Leatherman is survived by her children, Walter Scott Leatherman (Denise), of Sellersville; Donna Gordon (Daniel), of Telford; Gerald Leatherman (Michael Rawls), of Philadelphia; and Sherri Leatherman (Craig Schnable), of Sellersville; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, John, Zephyr, Sally, Derek, Nick, and Connor; eight great-grandchildren, Max, Beau, Calvin, Reese, Layla, Everleigh, Seraphina, and Giovanna; and a brother, Raymond W. Smith, Jr.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy E. Wenhold and Myrtle V. Delp.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20 Dill Avenue, Perkasie, PA 18944, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Leatherman’s name may be made to the St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund at the address above.
