Reginald Brewington, Sr., of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at the University of Kentucky Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky. He was 62 years old.
Born in Bristol, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Moody Jr. and Angeline (Mathis) Brewington. Reggie was one of eight children.
A 1974 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, Reggie had sung in the choir.
Mr. Brewington had a successful career working in the hotel industry. He recently served as the Manager of Guest Services at the Galt House Hotel, which often hosts the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky.
Reggie will be remembered for many things. There was that smile that would light up a room, his infectious laugh and sense of humor, his deep Barry White baritone voice, and, most of all, his love for singing and music. Singing was a complete joy to him and something he did well.
Reggie loved the Lord. He desired to spend time in God’s Word daily and always encouraged those around him to believe in and trust in God.
He is survived by his two children, Reginald Jr. and Genesis; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Ryleigh, Ava, Naomi, Elijah, and Isaac; his sisters, Linda, Deborah, Darlene, and Alida; his longtime companion, Brenda; and a whole host of family and friends dear to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra and Beulah, and a brother, Jeffrey.
His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will be private in Sellersville Cemetery.
