Obituary for Donald L. Arinsberg

Donald L.  Arinsberg
Donald L. Arinsberg, of Sellersville, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was the beloved husband of Robin A. (Rehrig) Arinsberg for 30 years. He was 57.

Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Gladys (Umstead) Arinsberg.

Mr. Arinsberg had been employed as a welder at Stainless, Inc., in Perkasie and at Webcraft, in Colmar. Most recently, he had worked as a truck driver for J. P. Mascaro, of Souderton and as a part-time driver for First Student, of Colmar.

Don was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ridge Valley, Sellersville, where he had volunteered with the cemetery maintenance and helped to upright fallen headstones.

A coach for Pennridge Little League for many years, Don also assisted with the softball program at Deep Run Sports Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Jason W. Arinsberg and his wife, Stacy, of Sellersville; Dana L. Arinsberg and her boyfriend, Christopher Swartz, of Pottstown; two granddaughters: Julia Arinsberg and Stephanie Arinsberg, both of Sellersville; a sister, Janis Kelly, and her husband, Fred, of Hatfield; and his two dogs, “Ladybird” and “Buddy.”

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Arinsberg, and his Shetland sheepdog, “Shelby.”

His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014, in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (Ridge Valley), 910 Allentown Road, Sellersville, PA 18960. A visitation will be held Thursday morning at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will be in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Ridge Valley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960 to help defray expenses.
