Christopher Paul Vellner, of Perkasie, formerly of Sellersville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Sunday, June 2, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was the beloved husband of Roseanna (Fels) Vellner for 22 years. He was 55.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Ronald Vellner, of Chalfont, and the late Eleanor Altman.

Chris was a 1976 graduate of Central Bucks West High School.

Mr. Vellner had been employed for many years as an independent contractor in the detention equipment industry.

He was a member of St Michael's Lutheran Church, Sellersville, where he had served as an usher.

An avid musician, Chris loved to play his guitar and write songs, sometimes performing in church. He especially loved spending time with his children.

In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Vellner is survived by two sons: Nicholas Musselman, of Schwenksville; Alexander Vellner, of Perkasie; a daughter, Olivia Vellner, of Perkasie; three brothers: Greg Vellner and his wife, Regina, of Southampton; Anthony Vellner and his wife, MaryBeth, of North Wales; Rhett Vellner, of Philadelphia; two sisters: Lisa Righter, and her husband, George, of Washington Crossing; Leia Vellner, of Seattle, WA; his stepmother, Peggy Vellner, of Chalfont; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Simon.

His funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 8, in St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call at the church Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.
