Obituary for Frederick C. Youells

Frederick C.  Youells
Frederick C. Youells, 80, of Telford, formerly of Lansdale, passed on in the morning of Saturday, February 2, 2013, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna M. (Gerhart) Youells for fifteen years until her death in 2011.

Born in Chalfont, he was the son of the late John R. and Anna L. (Clime) Youells. Fred attended Lansdale High School.

Mr. Youells was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean War.

A proud member of the Teamsters, Fred had been employed as a tractor trailer truck driver for UPS, in Willow Grove, where he had been the recipient of many safe-driving awards. Prior to that, he had also driven trucks for North Penn Transfer and had worked as a milk man for Martin Century Farms, both of Lansdale.

Mr. Youells was Baptist by faith.

Fred enjoyed bowling in a local league.

Mr. Youells is survived by his six children: Brenda Kassay and her husband, John, of Bear, DE; Debra Wall Blystone and her husband, Tom, of Skippack; Denise Schreiber and her husband, Jim, of Queenstown, MD; Richard Youells and his wife, Stephanie, of Goode, VA; George Youells and Timothy Youells, both of Lansdale; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his four step-children: Lewis Marlin, III, and his wife, Shirley, of Perkasie; Loretta Harbin and her husband, Jim, of Matthews, NC; Wayne Marlin, of Oregon; Daniel Marlin and his wife, Shelly, of Hatfield; a brother, Russell C. Youells and his wife, Grace, of Telford; his companion, Edythe Morris, of Telford; his former wife, Dorothy F. (Boorse) Youells, of Hatfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his second wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John C. and Lester C. Youells, and two sisters, Emma C. Beckman and Beatrice C. Stubbs.

His funeral service will be held Saturday, February 9, at 11:30 a.m. in Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, 171 Church Road, Telford, PA 18969. Family and friends may call Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment with full military honors will follow in Indian Creek Cemetery, Telford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Fred’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
