Obituary for Walter A. Konyk

Walter A. Konyk, of Perkasie, passed away Wednesday, April 25, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy L. (Yeakel) Konyk, who passed away in 2002. He was 88.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Alexander and Josephine (Lopondra) Konyk.

Mr. Konyk had been employed for 47 years as chief expeditor by the U.S. Gauge Division, Ametek, Inc., Sellersville.

Walter was a talented woodworker and had actually built the family home. A passionate tinkerer, he loved to create woodworking projects and give them to friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed tending to his flower and vegetable gardens.

Mr. Konyk is survived by his daughter: Pamela J. Konyk and her husband, Dale Hendrickson, of Van Nuys, CA; two brothers: George Konyk and his wife, Rose, of Doylestown; William Konyk and his wife, Joan, of Souderton; two sisters: Florence Linke of Quakertown; Anne Dorsey of Canton, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Nickolas and John.

Friends are invited to attend the graveside service at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 30, in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville. Please gather at the funeral home by 12 p.m. on Monday afternoon to join the funeral procession to the cemetery.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 30, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. There are no calling hours.
