Edna M. Youells, 76, of Telford, formerly of Perkasie, passed away Wednesday, March 30, in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Township. She was the beloved wife of Fred C. Youells for 15 years.

Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Alice (Darnheim) Gerhart.

Edna had been employed at the former Royal Pants factory, Perkasie. She had also worked in retail sales at the former Jamesway, Souderton.

Mrs. Youells especially enjoyed working with children, serving as a foster mother, babysitting, and working in the child care field. She had managed the daycare center of Faith Baptist Church, Sellersville, for 20 years. Edna later operated her own daycare center in Perkasie.

Edna enjoyed collecting Hummel figurines and porcelain birds.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children: Lewis Marlin, III, and his wife, Shirley, of Perkasie; Loretta Harbin and her husband, Jim, of Matthews, NC; Wayne Marlin, of Oregon; Daniel Marlin and his wife, Shelly, of Hatfield, eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six step-children: Brenda Kassay and her husband, John, of Bear, DE; Debra Wall and her fiancé, Tom, of Skippack; Denise Schreiber and her husband, Jim, of Queenstown, MD; Richard Youells and his wife, Stephanie, of Goode, VA; George Youells, of Lansdale; Timothy Youells, of Hatfield; twelve step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Youells is also survived by three sisters: Lillian Sauer, of FT. Myers, FL; Alice Brandis and her husband, Melvin, of Zephyrhills, FL; Grace Youells and her husband, Russell, of Telford; and one brother, Edwin Gerhart and his wife, Charlotte, of Perkasie.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas A. "Nick" Marlin, who passed away in March; three brothers, Samuel, Paul and Arthur Gerhart, and a sister, Gladys N. Schlectic.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 5, at 11:30 am in Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, 171 Church Road, Telford, PA 18969. Family and friends may call Tuesday at the church from 10:00 am until time of service.

Interment will follow in Indian Creek Cemetery, Telford.
