Obituary for Marlene F. Laverick

Marlene F. Laverick
Marlene Fay (Hendricks) Laverick, of Doylestown, formerly of Sellersville, passed away at Neshaminy Manor on Thursday, July 5, 2018, with loved ones by her side after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. She was 86 years old.

Born in Silverdale, she was the daughter of the late H. Calvin and Bessie M. (Kulp) Hendricks.

After graduating from Sell-Perk High School in 1950, Marlene (known to all as Molly) began a long career in business offices, working at the former U.S. Gauge, where she met the love of her life, Richard Laverick, on a blind date.

She took time off from her career to raise a family, while working from home sewing baseballs for Dudley Sports. She then worked in the offices of C.D. Moyer and Bucks County Bank for many years.

After retirement, Molly and Rich enjoyed several bus trips throughout the U.S. and dinner out several times a week.

She will be remembered by all who knew her as a kind person of strong faith who loved life and her family and saw the good in everyone.

She is survived by many loving family members, including a daughter, Dr. Suzanne Laverick-Stone (Rod Stone); two sons, Richard Laverick (partner Ron Cohen), and Timothy Laverick (Despina); beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Theodore Harrington IV (Melissa), Timothy Laverick Jr. (fiancé Jenna), Nicholas Laverick, Elizabeth Irish (Perry), William Stone, Jr. (Alison), Robert Stone (Erin), Theodore Harrington V, Benjamin Harrington, William R. Stone, and Nathan Stone; a brother, Arnold Hendricks; and sisters-in-law, Irma Hendricks, Brenda Hendricks, and Flo Hendricks. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Molly was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Richard Edward Laverick, and four brothers, Robert Hendricks, Edward Hendricks, Ronald Hendricks, and James Hendricks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main St., Sellersville, PA 18960, with a visitation from 9 - 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining parish cemetery.
