Obituary for Berenice E. Jones
Berenice E. Jones, of Quakertown, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018, in Quakertown Center, Quakertown. She was 89.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Anna Helen (Simms) Jones.
Berenice did undergraduate work at Howard University and received her Masters at the University of Maryland.
She had been employed in the U. S. Foreign Services as a secretary at various embassies internationally.
Berenice was a long-time member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.
Berenice was an outgoing adventurer, who had enjoyed traveling. A woman of great faith, she loved everyone.
She is survived by her brother, Elwood J. Jones, of Quakertown; a sister, Kathryn M. Yumul, of Lansdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by several siblings.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2018, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining parish cemetery.
