Obituary for Lena Craig

Lena Craig, of Sellersville, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was 67.

She was the wife of the late Alphonse C. “Chuck” Craig, who died in 2013.

A lifelong resident of Sellersville, she was born to the late Henry L. and Eva (Landis) Detwiler.

Lena worked many years for Schulmerich Carillons, Sellersville, most recently in the Sales Department at Schulmerich Bells, Hatfield.

As a member of First Baptist Church of Lansdale, she participated in the prayer shawl ministry, Sunday school, and was a member of ABW.

A music lover, Lena attended many musical events and had a special fondness for barbershop quartets.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Charles A. “Chuck” Craig, of Sellersville; siblings, Jay Henry L. Detwiler and his wife, Ruth, of Telford; Gladys D. Longacre and her husband, David, of Harrisonburg, VA; and Jane Huegel and her husband, David, of North Cape May, NJ.

In addition to her husband, Lena was preceded in death by siblings, Elizabeth, Ralph, Harold, Jim, and Murray Detwiler.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Lansdale, 700 North Broad Street, Lansdale, 19446, where a visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until time of service.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
