Condolences

Condolence From: Carol Kuhn
Condolence: Verna was truly a special lady. She touched so many people's lives with her sweet gentleness. She was a ray of sunshine to anyone she encountered. Because she was always genuinely interested in how my family and I were doing, I often told Verna she was a Saint and that many people would miss her when she was no longer here on Earth among us. She would shyly smile and reply, "No, no, I don't do much." I am Blessed this dear lady was a good friend for many years and that I saw her often at church and at GVH. I will really miss Verna. May God Bless and comfort your family. Hang on to your good memories of Verna. That's what I will do.

Condolence: Verna was a beautifully simple and faithful woman who touched me deeply during her volunteer days at Grand View. I considered myself lucky to see her and blessed each time we said hello. I appreciated the joy and love she felt for her family, and her deep commitment to and love for God. Most notably, Verna was a gentle spirit who had wisdom to share without speaking and who always made time for a kind gesture or sweet hug. I did not know her well but I truly adored her. She was a blessing I will never forget encountering on this journey of life and I find peace in knowing that she is home where she yearned to be.

Condolence: It's not often in one's lifetime that you meet someone like Verna. She actually "walked the walk." Her attributes?...oh my...too many to mention here, but among them, was her incredible loving, kindness which she openly extended to all without judgment. You felt her spirit just by looking at her--and were drawn to that amazing spirit. She took the time to learn your name & know things that were important to you, then ask you about them, when next she saw you. She constantly thought of others & how she could help them with their respective life journeys. I felt "truly honored" to know her. The world has lost a soul it sorely needs in these uncertain times. I'm glad she's home now, but knowing someone of her caliber has left us leaves me very sad. My condolences to her family...thank you for sharing her with Grand View & those of us here who had the pleasure of knowing a truly, incredible lady.

Condolence: Verna was lovely lady and a blessing to all who had the privilege to know her. She was missed when she retired from volunteering. She always asked about my husband and animal children. She was very interested in the recovery of my horse when he had suffered a leg injury and would ask for updates and give me encouragement. You had to smile when you saw her. She was a joy to know and talk to, a lift on a not so good day. Always upbeat, caring, loved life, the Lord and all of us. I strive to be like her. God bless her family!

Condolence: Verna was such a nice Lady. At Grand View, I spoke with her often and she always had something nice to say weather it be about my family or a story about her own loved ones. It was easy to see that she was close to the Lord in our Conversations. I have thought of her often and pray for her and her family. God Bless. Matt Lezoche

Condolence: We each receive so many gifts throughout our lives. Verna, you are that gift. When I met you on 3-8 shift @GVH main, we (Lisa Mills) and myself would enjoy the ocassional Pizza. You also taught us rummy cube on one of those nights. As the years went by (almost 20)you were the one constant. Always smiling, saying hello, and inquiring about family. You were mindful of your task at hand (volunteering)and yet ALWAYS had time for others. I will always remember your joyfulness and kindness. As we all know some gifts harder to return than others. I am so glad that our paths have crossed through the journey of life. Although, a small piece of time was shared, it was the very best. God Bless Miss Verna, God Bless!
