Obituary for John Donald Mault

John Donald Mault
John Donald Mault, of Perkasie, formerly of New Hope and Churchville, entered into eternal life at the VNA of Philadelphia Hospice Falls Center, Philadelphia on Sunday, November 6, 2016. He was 74.

He was the beloved husband of Sherry (Schellert) Mault.

Born in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Leo A. and Louise V. (Adelman) Mault.

A 1965 graduate of the University of Scranton, Don later earned his Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1971.

Don spent his early career in education before he transitioned into sales. During the 1980’s and 1990’s, he was the successful owner of two West Coast Video franchises in Doylestown and New Britain.

Mr. Mault had attended St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.

An avid Revolutionary War re-enactor, Don also collected historical memorabilia. Along with his wife, he had enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, traveling to rallies in Daytona Beach, Florida; Laconia, New Hampshire; and Sturgis, South Dakota. Additionally, Don enjoyed bird watching and gardening. He also carved duck decoys and collected die cast cars.

Don’s courage and strength in his battle with cancer were an inspiration to all who knew him. His caring, love, and generosity will live on forever in those who cherish his memory.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Mault is survived by his three sons, Colin Mault and his wife, Cathie, of Berwyn; Brennan Mault, of Doylestown; and Kevin Mault, of Holland; six grandchildren, Quinn, Nola, Audrey, and Desmond Mault; Jesse Owens; and August Moyer; two brothers, Robert Mault and his girlfriend, Virginia “Jeanie” Craig, San Francisco, CA; and Douglas Mault and his wife, Jacqueline, of Portland, OR; and a step-daughter, Kristin Moyer, of Quakertown.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 14, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of Mass.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
