Obituary for Patricia J. Ambrose

Patricia J.  Ambrose
Patricia J. “Patti” Ambrose, of Sellersville, formerly of Perkasie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown on Monday, October 3, 2016. She was 76.

She was the beloved wife of John R. “Jack” Ambrose for 55 years.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve (Wachel) Manzo. Pat attended the former Germantown High School.

Mrs. Ambrose had been employed for 18 years as an assembler for the former Delbar Products, Inc., Perkasie. She had also worked as a processor for over 12 years at the Goodwill Store, Quakertown.

She had been a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville. Pat was an active resident of the Quiet Acres Residential Community in Sellersville and had been a member of the Quiet Acres Welcoming Committee.

Pat had loved shopping and took great pride in decorating her home for every season. Along with her husband, Pat had enjoyed traveling and had visited many places, including Boston; Carmel, CA; Charleston; Toronto; Montreal; France; and Italy. One of her favorite summer destinations was The Shore Plaza Hotel in Wildwood, NJ. She loved all animals, especially cats. Mrs. Ambrose had most delighted in any opportunity to spend time with her family, especially holiday events.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ambrose is survived by her three sons, John J. Ambrose and his wife, Judy, of Quakertown; Timothy S. Ambrose and his wife, Holly, of Perkasie; Joseph M. Ambrose and his wife, Carol, of Harleysville; a granddaughter, Kaylee Ambrose, of Harleysville; and her dog, “Batman,” and cat, “Sabrina.”

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward “Edge” Manzo, Ronald Manzo, and Joseph Manzo, and a sister, Barbara (Manzo) Brill.

Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 10, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local no-kill animal shelter or a charity of one’s choice.
