Obituary for Matthew Clemmer

Matthew Brent Clemmer, of Warwick Township, formerly of Perkasie, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at his residence. He was 46.

Born in Sellersville, he was the son of Weldon D. and Ruth J. (Harwick) Clemmer, of Perkasie.

Matt was a 1988 graduate of Pennridge High School, where he had been a cross country runner and a discus thrower on the track team. He graduated from Millersville University in 1992 with a double major in math and computer science.

He had been employed as a computer programmer.

Matt enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and cycling.

In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by a sister, Teri McHale, and her husband William, of Willow Street, PA; two brothers, Keith S. Clemmer and his wife Joanne, of Sellersville; Mark D. Clemmer, of Coopersburg; and seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Patrick Clemmer, and a niece, Monica Clemmer.

Services will be private.

Interment in St. Andrew’s Union Cemetery, Perkasie will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matt’s name may be made to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 20 Dill Avenue, Perkasie, PA 18944.
