Obituary for Patrick James Titus

Patrick James  Titus
Patrick James Titus, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, formerly of Perkasie, passed away suddenly Friday, March 18, 2016, in a work-related accident in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was 35.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of James M. Crosswell, of Covington, Georgia and Kathryn (Titus) Ciraolo, of Telford.

Patrick was a graduate of Blue Mountain Academy High School, Hamburg, PA. He had also attended Southwestern Adventist University, Keene, Texas and the Kettering College of Medical Arts, Dayton, Ohio.

Employed as a certified nursing assistant for more than nine years in Arkansas, Pat had worked for the past year as a deckhand for Western Rivers Boat Management, based in Paducah, Kentucky.

He was a former member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Buffalo, New York.

In Arkansas, Patrick was a former volunteer firefighter.

A passionate outdoorsman, Pat had especially enjoyed fishing. He also liked science fiction, Internet games and online groups, and watching “Game of Thrones.” He loved his job on the tugboat and traveling up and down the waterways. He most loved spending time with his son.

In addition to his parents, Patrick is survived by his son, Triston Titus, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a brother, Timothy Nikitin, of Bretton Woods, New Hampshire; his paternal grandmother, Marcelle Crosswell, of Covington, Georgia, his stepfather, Vincent Ciraolo, of Telford; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a large family of close friends and coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Crosswell; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Alliene Titus; and his stepfather, Ronald G. Hammes.

His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. A visitation will be held from 7- 9 p.m., Friday, April 1, at the funeral home and on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service. There will be a brief prayer service at 8:45 p.m., Friday evening.

Interment will be in St. Philip Orthodox Cemetery, Souderton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship trust fund for Patrick’s three year old son in care of Kathryn Ciraolo, 704 Morwood Road, Apt. #1, Telford, PA 18969.
