Irene A. (Ostapowicz)  Walker
Irene A. Walker, a long-time resident of West Rockhill Township, entered into eternal life Friday, January 1 at her residence. She was 72.

She was the beloved wife of Daniel D. Walker. They had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July 2015.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Matla) Ostapowicz. Irene was a 1961 graduate of Dobbins Technical School, Philadelphia.

Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Walker had also been employed as a hairdresser at Command Performance, Quakertown. She had also operated a salon in her home. Before moving to the area, she had worked at Modene Hair Salon, North Philadelphia.

Irene was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.

A self-taught stock trader, Irene had enjoyed following the financial market. Her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Walker is survived by her three children: Andrea Walker, of Harleysville; Daniel W. Walker and his wife, Lisa, of North Richland Hills, TX; Dana Inskeep and her husband, Michael, of Thousand Oaks, CA; and five grandchildren: Mitchell, Cole, Declan, Parker, and Blakelee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Perks and Diana Wolfe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 21, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, with a visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army National Headquarters, P.O. Box 269, Alexandria, VA 22314 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
