Obituary for Peter F. Ohlin

Peter F.  Ohlin
Peter F. Ohlin, of Sellersville, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with pancreatic and bile duct cancer, on Friday, September 26, 2014, in Quakertown Center - Genesis HealthCare, Quakertown. He was 58. He was the husband of Christine (Cain) Ohlin, of Perkiomenville.

Born in Munich, Germany on April 30, 1956, he was the son of Lydia (Betz) Ohlin, Sellersville, and the late Norman C. Ohlin.

He was a 1975 graduate of William Tennent High School, Warminster.

Pete had been employed for 23 years as a paving foreman for Miller and Son Paving, Warminster, retiring in 2010. In addition, he also worked in home improvements as a side business.

An avid boater and camper, Pete also enjoyed skiing, four-wheelers, and cars, especially Camaros. He was also a very talented artist.

In addition to his wife and mother, Peter is survived by his three sons: Eric Ohlin, of Tempe, Arizona ; Alexander Ohlin and Ian Ohlin, both of Perkiomenville; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Brooklyn; a sister, Melitta Ohlin, of Sellersville; three brothers: Fred Ohlin, of Sellersville; Eric Ohlin, of Allentown; and Earl Ohlin, of Hatboro; and his cat, “Bentley.”

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his beloved King German shepherd, “Gretta.”

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions in Peter’s name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation at NPCF, P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502 or the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd, Ste 150, Blue Bell, Pennsylvania 19422.
