Condolence From: Susan Dorfman
Condolence: Dear Donna,

This year has gone quickly for me, and I am surprised that so much time has passed since Dick's passing. I am grateful for the reminder, so I can reach out to you and your family. May all the good memories of times spent together with Dick give you some comfort as you experience the anniversary of the sad times.

Love, Susan

Condolence: Dick was the most reliable and dependable colleague. I recall an old Jugs pitching machine that Dick performed his magic on and it worked like it was brand new. I miss his calm and strong presence. Stay strong Donna and Jimmy!

Condolence: Dear Donna and Jimmy,
My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always. Dick was an amazing man and all who knew him will miss him. Thank you for sharing him with us. I miss talking with him and hearing about the new car he just got. Dick was a true, honest and good friend and I will always be proud to have known him. God bless you and Jimmy.

Condolence: Dear Donna and Family, When I walk along the Passageway toward the Residence in the late afternoon, I still expect to see Dick and probably will continue to do so for a long time. When people interconnect, there is a lasting image, a memory, that keeps us together in the soul. May your memories of good times shared with Dick remain with you and ease the pain of the physical loss.

Condolence: Dear Donna and Jimmy,
The Gassner name, spirit and love is inextricably woven through the fabric of Baldwin. It is hard to walk anywhere on our campus without seeing something that has Dick's handiwork attached to it. He was an extraordinarily talented craftsman, taking great pride in his work and always looking for the most creative of solutions to problems. A favorite Dick Gassner job of mine is the work he did on the silo at school. He not only transformed an eyesore into useful space, he made it interesting architecturally - and I love his playful touch of adding a wooden owl to adorn his work! This will always evoke his presence among us, for which we are truly grateful. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: Dear Donna and Jimmy,
I wish you peace now knowing that Dick is also at peace and feels no pain now that he is with God. I truly appreciated all the last minute assistance that Dick gave to the PE department like repairing the softball pitching machine. It ran better than when it was new after Dick worked his magic. He was always available when I asked him to help. I imagine he was that giving at home. I already miss. Dick and I can't imagine how you both feel. Gob bless.
Kathy
