Ruth S. Young, 93, of Quakertown, formerly a long-time resident of Sellersville, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012, in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown.

Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (Naudascher) Snyder.

Ruth had worked as a seamstress in several area clothing factories, including H & F Manufacturing Company and David Crystal, both formerly of Quakertown.

She enjoyed crafts and crossword puzzles.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Doris Y. Hosgood, and her husband, James, of Pennsburg; three grandchildren: Holly Lofland, of Tallahassee, FL; Michael Lofland, and his wife, Polly, of Sellersville; Matthew Lofland, of Souderton; and two great-grandsons, Brandon and Alex, both of Sellersville.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters: Mildred Long and Beatrice Podleszek; and two brothers: Ralph Greenwalt and John Snyder.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Friends may call Thursday morning at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.
