Obituary for Alfred Voehringer

Alfred Voehringer, 81, of Sellersville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 11, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice Maude (Miller) Voehringer, who died in 1979.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late George and Mamie Chew.

Alfred was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II aboard the USS Rankin in the South Pacific. He later served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He had been employed for many years as a baker for the Kohler and Fretz Baking Company, Lansdale. Alfred later worked at Porter Instruments, Hatfield, retiring in 1998.

Alfred loved nature and enjoyed his daily walks. His family was the joy of his life.

He is survived by his three daughters: Lisa Bealer and her husband, Dennis, Telford; Ruth Myers and her husband Jacob, Harleysville; Lori M. Voehringer, Sellersville; and one son: Jonathan A. Voehringer, Columbia, PA; eight grandchildren: Dawn, James Alan, Amber, Rachel, Amanda, Christopher, Jessica, and Jonathan; two great-grandchildren: Dillon and Mark; and his beloved cat, Daisy.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 15, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Friday morning at the funeral home, from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery, Sellersville.
